1. Mass media make billions of dollars advertising different goods. And we are exposed to such advertisements practically every moment. The result is predictable. We buy what we are told to buy by the media. After seeing thousands of advertisements we make our decisions based on what we see on TV.

2. Television is watched by the majority of our population. But what do we often see on the screen? Too many scenes of violence, people hurting and killing each other. We can also see a lot of blood, gun shooting etc. Physiologists say that such programmes provoke the same behaviour in real life. And they are right.

3. Many people say that due to mass media a lot of young people (and not only young) become interested in many things, such as history, literature. They watch TV programmes devoted to ecology or read some information on the Net and become aware of the danger our planet is in. Thus they begin thinking about how to help the situation and many of them turn into responsible citizens.

4. The media have a huge impact on the society in shaping the public opinion. Depending on the aim or target that is put before various types of mass media they are able to manipulate what is called the public opinion, change it in different ways or simply modify it a bit. The repeated telecast or piece of information on the Internet can be crucial.

5. The Internet offers undeniable benefits to the new generation. However, using the Internet unsafely puts teenagers at a very high risk. Boys and girls who spend too much time online tend to become cyber addicts. Cyber addiction can be as harmful as addiction to drugs or drinking alcohol. Those who spend unhealthy amounts of time on the Internet may experience distress, have mental and physical problems.

Контрольная работа по английскому языку в 9 классе

Контрольная работа по английскому языку состоит из 3-х разделов:

1)Аудирование; 2) Чтение; 3) Лексика и грамматика.

Форма контроля — тест.

УМК: «Английский в фокусе» («Spotlight»)

Продолжительность теста составляет 45 минут. Работа проводится в конце первой четверти и содержит грамматический и лексический материал 1,2 разделов учебника (Celebrations; Live&Living).

Тестовая работа имеет критерии оценивания результатов и ключ.

Тест содержит 27 заданий. Из них задания на:

Аудирование. Задания 1-5- установление соответствия между высказываниями и утверждениями.

Чтение. Задания 6-10- понимание в тексте запрашиваемой информации.

Лексика и грамматика. Задания 11-16 – заполнение пропусков подходящими по смыслу словами.17-22-распознавание грамматических времен, инфинитива и –ing форм глагола. *23-27- образование существительных от прилагательных с помощью суффиксов.

За каждый правильный ответ в заданиях 1-22, обучающийся получает 1 балл.

Каждый правильный ответ в заданиях 23-27 оценивается в 2 балла.

Максимальное количество баллов- 32.

Успешность выполнения теста определяется из следующего соответствия:

27 – 32 баллов “5” (отлично)

21 – 26 баллов “4” (хорошо)

15– 20 баллов “3” (удовлетворительно)

менее 15 баллов “2” (неудовлетворительно)

Hanami: A Flowering Celebration!

The beginning of spring (March-ApriI) is a very special time in Japan, because this is when Japan’s famous cherry trees come into flower. The Japanese celebrate this happy time with festivals and flower-viewing parties.

At the end of winter, everyone’s excitement starts to grow. The whole country wants to know the exact day when the cherry flowers (‘sakura’) will appear. Starting in February, weathermen try to guess when this day will be.

When the first flowers open on the trees, national joy breaks out! There are rides and games for children in the street, music and dance performances, tea ceremonies, flower displays, and much more. But the most special thing that people do at this time is have ‘hanami’ parties. Hanami means flower watching. In hanami parties, families and friends take a picnic and go and sit under a cherry tree to Iook at and admire the flowers. Hanami parties take place during the daytime and also at night, because when it is dark, lights light up the cherry trees.

Hanami is very important to the Japanese. Cherry blossoms appear on trees for only one week before they fall to the ground and die, and for the Japanese this symbolises the short nature of childhood and life. So hanami is a time when Japanese people Iike to think about how important Iife is.
